We are working with an expanding banking Group based in Kent, who provide simple and straightforward day-to-day banking solutions to their specialist customers. They are looking for an Economic Crime Officer to join the team.
This role can be carried out on a hybrid basis (from home and either a London or Kent location).
THE RESPONSIBILITIES:
As our Economic Crime Officer and part of the second line of defence you will work on a wide range of topics including:
Overseeing first line of defence activities
Provide subject matter expertise when advising the business (first line of defence) on day-to-day activities for e.g. reviewing Client Onboarding, Beneficiary Verification, PEPs and Sanctions high risk payment referrals
Ensure suspicious activity reporting is dealt with/escalated in a timely manner
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across all business areas
Recommend enhancements to working practices and procedures to enhance economic crime prevention activity
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Experience of working in the second line of defence, in an advisory type role
Ability to multi-task with complex financial crime queries
Attention to detail
Ability to work within stretching timescales
ICA AML qualification or equivalent
