Our client is an international banking organisation based in the City. They are looking for a Compliance Manager to join the Business on a 6 month FTC basis initially.
THE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Deputise for the Head of Compliance and MLRO, when required.
Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of annual monitoring programmes for the Compliance and Financial Crime Functions.
Monitor and report on the business’ compliance with prevailing regulation and legislation
Carry out annual reviews of AML, International Sanctions, and Fraud Consumer Duty policies.
Conduct annual policy reviews of Compliance owned policies
Provide advice to the business regarding Compliance and Financial Crime to ensure internal processes and procedures are updated
Ensure procedures, systems and controls are up to date
Monitor and manage regulatory and industry change and evaluate the impact of such change
Develop KPI’s and other relevant MI to ensure that senior management are appropriately advised
Assist with drafting reports to senior management and board committees.
Ensure regulatory reporting is accurate and timely.
Support compliance related projects ensuring these are delivered on time and to specification
Contribute to the compliance team responsibilities for the development of New Products or changes to existing products.
Assist with Compliance remediation projects regarding KYC, and other AML related issues.
Assist with the review and sign-off of Financial Promotions.
Devise and deliver Compliance and AML training to 1st line teams as required.
Maintain appropriate knowledge to ensure to be fully qualified to undertake the role
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Proven experience in Compliance and Banking
Experience of working in a Retail banking environment would be preferred
Relevant recognised Compliance and Financial Crime qualifications desirable.
Very good knowledge of UK FCA/PRA regulatory obligations
Knowledge of UK AML and Terrorist Finance regulatory framework.
Capacity to analyse and summarise reports and information where required.
Computer literate.
Strong communication skills
