Our client is a global energy and commodities trading firm based in London. They are seeking a Compliance Manager to join the expanding business.
THE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Compliance gap analysis and risk mitigation plan development
Identification of areas for compliance and regulations
Develop a compliance framework to ensure the Business is compliant with its regulatory and other compliance obligations. These include, but are not limited to: ESG, EMIR, REMIT, GDPR, KYC
Oversee the development of the company’s ESG framework and policy.
Ensure all other company policies, procedures and activities are in compliance with this.
Reporting against compliance obligations as required
Communication and reporting to senior leadership
Develop and maintain internal and external relationships as necessary and appropriate
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Compliance management experience from a power generation/energy firm environment
Knowledge and experience with a broad range of governance related regulations
Hands-on experience reporting to regulatory bodies
Understanding of regulatory regimes impacting power generation companies
Understanding of compliance requirements in Germany, Netherlands and UK desirable
Experience structuring ESG frameworks
Knowledge of German or Dutch language will be considered a plus but not essential
Good team worker but also able to work independently. Able to work with stakeholders from different backgrounds, in different countries and functions.
Proactive, confident to make suggestions and follow-through.
