We have been instructed by an international Private, corporate & specialist finance bank who has their European hub in London. They provide a range of corporate banking, Private banking and real estate services.
THE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Act as a point of contact for financial crime queries related to complex transactions and high-risk client onboarding and ongoing due diligence reviews, including PEPs and other heightened risk factors, as well as sanctions.
Provide technical advice and training to internal senior stakeholders on AML, sanctions, fraud, and anti-bribery and corruption risks.
Assist with the investigation and filing of suspicious activity/transactions reports
Assist with the preparation of management information and regulatory reports and assist with local audit requests.
Support delivery of the Financial Crime Compliance Risk assessment
Support the timely delivery of financial crime systems upgrades and associated monitoring and testing.
Undertake departmental administration such as filing/ completing departmental logs etc
Additional ad hoc duties or tasks as required by the DMLRO
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
2-years’ experience in a financial crime advisory role
Private Banking experience
Experience of working with High Net Worth and Ultra High Net Worth clients
An understanding of industry – wide financial crime practices and trends
Proven experience dealing with entities such as SPV’s, Trusts, Charities and LLPs
Previous experience in 2nd Line Advisory within Financial Crime Compliance
Practical knowledge and experience of the following: JMLSG, ML regs, POCA 2002, TACT, SAMLA, ECCTA, Bribery Act 2010, FCA Handbook and International Sanctions
Exposure to international markets beyond the UK, such as the GCC region
