Compliance Assurance Officer (6 months temp)

THE COMPANY:

We have been instructed by an international banking group who specialise in wholesale banking activities They are looking for a Compliance Assurance Officer.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To provide the branch staff with practical advice and guidance in relation to applicable laws, regulations and UK regulatory expectations
• Assist Compliance and other departments iwith their implementation plans for internal policy and procedure changes
• Support the Compliance department’s maintenance of an annual monitoring programme.
• Maintain Compliance registers and support Compliance in the preparation of Compliance reports for management
• Documentation of identified risks and follow-up of agreed measures on allocated tasks.
• Maintain technical and soft skills to the level necessary to effectively discharge the obligations and responsibilities of the Compliance Assurance Officer.
• Support compliance team in other ad hoc duties

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Experience in a regulatory compliance role in a small or medium sized Bank or sell side organisation
• Experience of presenting at meetings in both a written and verbal format
• Experience of leading or providing support in project related work
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including the ability to produce written reports with MI/data analysis and visualisation
