Our client is a leading international banking group based in the West End.
THE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Act as the lead Quality Assurer (QA) for customers CDD reviews and onboarding by Front Line staff on a periodic basis working with the Compliance Analyst.
Provide advisory role to the Front Office for CDD. Act as the AML advisory expert. Good Knowledge of JMLSG required
Arrange regular catch-up meetings with CDD team,– set the agenda, chair the meeting and provide minutes
Ensure the Diary for CDD reviews are kept up to date for 2LOD. Keep the MI up-to-date re Accounts opened and Closed as well as FATCA/CRS data
Keep the the CDD Handbook and Financial Crime Handbook updated as a living document
Manage the activities of the Senior Compliance Officer and Compliance Assistant ensuring that they provide the output required for the tasks they have been prescribed
Assist with the ongoing Risk Compliance and AML and Compliance training programme by presenting relevant workshops as and when required.
Manage where required projects as delegated by the Risk Governance Manager.
Ensure the relevant procedures such as Sanctions and Fraud are kept up to date
Sample check the AML files of the Branch’s deposit aggregators CDD files.
Oversee the transaction monitoring process of the 2LOD. Making sure that the 1LOD controls are working and sample checking testing
Participate in the Risk Compliance and AML Committee meetings with the Chief Manager and Compliance Head Office
Attend Risk Compliance and AML Webinars, Seminars and courses ongoing to keep up to date with Regulatory issues.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Good level of education and general all round business experience.
Relevant experience previously gained working in another firm (ideally small foreign bank).
Experience working in a team with multiple workstreams that can turnaround work quickly and accurately.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and manage personal workload.
Excellent familiarity with IT.
Ability to lead, manage and deliver individual projects, after initial consultation and guidance.
