We are working with anleading Agri Trading/Commodities firm who are searching for a Head of Compliance. The successful candidate will be a strategic leader with experience driving change, continuous improvement and innovation within a compliance function.
THE RESPONSIBILITIES:
To develop and manage the compliance policies, procedures, processes, and controls including the areas of Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Bribery, Sanctions and Market Abuse.
Drive continuous improvement across compliance processes, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, effectiveness and user experience.
Lead compliance transformation initiatives, including the use of technology, automation, AI and data to improve controls and support business objectives.
To identify occurrences of regulatory change which influence the activities of the Business.
To advise and assist the business to enable compliance with any applicable legal and regulatory obligations.
To work with all departments to develop policies, procedures, controls and training designed to minimise the risk of breaches of legal and regulatory requirements.
To manage and deliver against ESG requirements.
To manage governance obligations, including Companies House and FCA filings.
To work with all departments and business offices to ensure clear communication of the spirit and letter of compliance related policies and procedures.
To take responsibility for your performance and to work together to achieve our organisational goals.
To attend training courses which are identified as being necessary for the performance of the role.
To be fully conversant with the Employee Handbook and supporting policies, including Health & Safety legislation and fire and emergency procedures.
To comply with any reasonable instruction issued by your manager
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
A degree, preferably legal.
Strong Compliance , leadership experience working in the Agri trading, Supply chain or Commodities industry
Understanding and/or commercial experience of UK and US regulatory environments, preferably with an exam qualification.
Proven experience leading change, transformation and process improvement initiatives.
Experience using technology, automation, AI or data-led solutions to improve compliance processes and controls.
Ability to interpret rules and regulations and translate them into policies and procedures.
Knowledge of legislation underpinning Sanctions, Compliance and Financial Crime.
